Well, since you read about Huike in a book (probably), turn a few pages and read some other stories about some other Ch'an or Zen figures, besides Huike (sorry to be so brief about this, earlier).

I'll also be interested in the answer.

Enver,

Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe you did not read about Huike in a book. Maybe you ARE Huike.

How many arms do you have? Is any one of them missing a forearm? (left forearm, I suppose, with about 90 percent certainty).

Huike died about 1500 years ago. What kind of trouble is he making for you?

Enver, are you satisfied with the answers you now have about "don't seek" in this thread?

One can just apply (and apply oneself to) the practices that your teacher suggests, and teaches you in-person. This can result in an improvement in one's daily life. "Seeking" (however defined... ) is not necessary, and can be a distraction from one's attention on one's practices, and on daily-life.

best,

I'm glad we're friends.

I think that for this you need a Zen Buddhist teacher, and that one cannot determine this "Stage" estimation oneself.

organizational wrote:i've developed Following White Method(or white method).

Yes, I think this is something that no one here understands in detail. Also, the teacher Jundo expressed a question about it here, in your thread on the patriarch Huike.

organizational wrote:if you could help me to attain stage 2, i would be glad to accept you as my teacher,

Now, now! -- I asked you first! :lol2:
You said that everything was "perfect", and I decided that if that is so, then I want a teacher like that, who sees things as perfect, and you could be that teacher for me. ;)

Just a little joke! No, I'm really not "in the market", and I have a teacher here now again.

Best wishes!,
