Beauty-sattva

Beauty-sattva, show us the way, through the beauty of Zen Buddhism.

In your Light, may we see the Light.

Beauty-sattva... .

How the landscape of early-Spring in the desert shines. And your shadows are deepest shadows, within light. Chiaroscuro.

Moonlight, any time of day, in light and shadow. All the Great Earth is made of translucent white cheese... or clear candle-wax. Yet is organic.

Who can paint this, for others? Not I, to date.

(there are no others, anyway... if we can only awaken them).

Hail!,

I often wonder what is unbeautiful.

The harder I look behind the mask, the bones, the make-up mind, the more emptiness shines back without any care for the ugly mirror. :heya:

Tiles to polish
http://dogenandtheshobogenzo.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/zazen-polishing-tile-to-make-mirror.html

Mirrors to move up to the roof.

However easier than all that are the simple things:

- A breeze to blow a way through :>.>:
- A bag to keep my head in :hide:
- A dance without reason :peace:

These beauties are blooming here in the desert again, now, a yellow variety of Night-Blooming Cereus Cactus. So is the large white variety of Night-Blooming Cereus now also blooming, the past weeks.

It's also the time for the blooming of this (Sonoran... ) Desert's typical and unique monumental large columnar cactus, the Saguaro. I have two of them in front, and one is blooming this year for its first time ever. The second one is blooming now for the third year in a row. Neither has branched yet, but one is about 12 feet tall, and the other about 9 feet. Branching will be the next milestone, in coming (far-off?) years. The Saguaro has a very long lifetime.

An Agave "Century-Plant" in front is now sending up its enormous flower stalk. The stalk is about four inches in diameter and grows an additional six inches taller (or more) each DAY. After the stalk reaches maximum height (15-20 feet?), the Agave will die. But there will be hundreds of small plants ("pups") on the flower stalk after the flowers fall off.

An active time in the desert!, before the onset of "real-HEAT". It's staying mostly below 100 deg (F) each day (below 38 C).

Beauty-sattva
Beauty-Dharma
Beauty-Blue
From edge to edge of my round world blue on blue deep and clear.
Natural; sounds and nothing else. Everglades dharma so ancient the silence.
