Really good basic stuff!

Here's another really good video ... basic meditation instructions for beginners from Meido at the Rinzai Zen Community.

Though in Japanese with no English captioning, the nice quality of the video makes it very easy to understand.

How does sitting in a traditional Zen position help you free your mind?

This is Shakyamuni Buddha's deathbed posture. If you want to experience how sitting in a traditional zazen posture will manifest liberation, you'll have to try it and see.

Another good video

This brings into mind that proper clothing helps to keep one comfortable during the sitting
And, it helps keep the mind from wandering about other things
It just brings a formality and an atmosphere of seriousness to the practice

With reference to the opening post video - excellent! This is precisely what I need. Thank you! :)

I had already ordered a zafu and zabuton, (which coincidentally look exactly like the ones in that video), and I expect them to arrive any day now, but I have never done any yoga and am very aware of having decades of bad posture habits to address. I had not realized that being over zealous at attempting the half or full lotus prematurely could be so dangerous. Such premature zeal would have been typical for me.
