Why people are initially attracted to Buddhism...?

Many things.

Fish are symbols representing Christ, fish have no eyes and are always awake, awakened and enlightenment itself. One of the eight auspicious signs.

Initially I was drawn to it because of an old monastery that we would run by when I was in the Army. I was finally fully drawn in as I was going through another round of PTSD inpatient treatment, I found the practices brought me a great deal of peace. The more I learn and practice, the better I feel. It is something that seems to fit really well with how my brain works.
