Chan Buddhist / Zen Buddhist "Tilling"

Postby desert_woodworker on Wed Jan 27, 2016 3:32 am

I found this admonition by my teacher in Issue 1 of CHAN MAGAZINE (1977; it was then CH'AN MAGAZINE, prior to the pinyin transliteration superseding the Wade-Giles, or "Yale" romanization). --Joe

Perhaps...direction is important though. Something does happen, just not what I thought would. It's interesting to see it unfold as I go along. Where it will take me, I have no clue. But I still try to be diligent.

Words usually fail, though. Don't they?
