Ah I thought the plot to these dreams and the newest tv show was a secret.
Funny eh how we think thoughts are private or internal, what a hoax. :heya:

it is funny, in the sense that one must have a sense of humor in our own practice, and hence this thread. it's important to expose our biases and attachments, in a lighthearted way among fellow practitioners. so we help each other (and not oppose each other). i hope this forum provides a safe, open environment where ppl can share and connect.

everyone who has posted--or thought about posting--in a sense are exposing their private/internal thoughts, which are mediated and conditioned by words and language--which produce our thoughts/feelings and are also products of our thoughts/feelings. this is the circularity, the merry-go-round aims to air out or expose.

practitioners should turn this merry-go-round, words and language, this circularity, on its head... getting on, getting off, using words, not using words, these are all still wrapped up with the merry-go-round. seeing our own reaction to the original post, whether we post a response or not, is the first step. there's really no point to this merry-go-round, the point is our response.

some are defensive, others try to help, some are joking, other are logical. it's all good--iag! buddhadharma is none other than all of these expressed or unexpressed reactions. how to proceed now?

carry on.... iag,

Since they are produced by conditions and thus void of own-being, is there any need to call them internal, doesn't that only enhance the common delusion in the first place? How to proceed is to acknowledge there is no such thing as my thought or you thoughts, just thoughts, it's all 'collective'. In this way we no longer have to fight useless ego-manifestation battles from subtle self-grasping.

Now, if it were the Marley-go-round, we'd get to hear some Reggae music.
