Chester Bennington dead at 41

Postby Boatman Bodhisattva on Fri Jul 21, 2017 5:15 am

I am tired of celebrities dying from suicides and overdoses. There is no turning back from death! He had six kids!

As the Buddha taught, material things will never give us lasting happiness. Rest in peace, Chester.

Crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal.

I think Chris Cornell's death was the last drop,
but for someone who struggled with suicide, drugs and sexual abuse for so long, sometimes suicide is the better option no matter how hard it is on the family, but I guess his life was hard on his loved ones too. When someone really cant keep on living due to the torment I don't feel tired or sad due to someone's suicide, but everything one loses comes back in another form, so I wish him a more fortunate youth in his next form, which is better then to keep on suffering like that for another 30-40 years.

Lets pray for all the deceased, celebrity or unknown. :Namaste:

The worst thing about suicide is how much it hurts those left behind, especially friends and family members.

Very much so, I've seen families hurt so much by suicides or by young ppl dying from sickness or traffic accidents, that is beyond doubt.
I just always immediately take the vantage point from the one who struggles with suicidal thoughts or tendencies, perhaps because I had these urges when I was young too, and even 1 attempt which if my mom wouldn't have a "feeling" while she was at work and rushed home, I wouldnt be typing now. But perhaps I'm weird, when there's a terrorist attack my first "vision" actually crawls into the mind of the terrorist, when I hear about child pornography on the news I immediately crawl in the mind of the perpetrator. Ofcourse also the victim and the family, but there's not much to "see" there for me, apart from hurt or hell.

Find a new place to hang this noose
String me up from atop these roofs
Knot it tight so I won't get loose...

I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away
I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away
I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away
Just to throw it away, just to throw it away

So beautiful, it's much better in German most translations dont flow and lose its power.

"Ein gleiches" is another one
