Gentlemen; gentle-maniacs?: want to go to war? Hydrogen bombs, you say? Nay, nay, Milfunken.

See what Natalie Merchant has to say, with her 10000 Maniacs. A while ago. A time we survived, let's note. Let's do it again, for all Beings.

IM NOT IN LOVE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ii6pRq0-mhY

I'm not in love
So don't forget it
It's just a silly phase I'm going through
And just because
I call you up
Don't get me wrong, don't think you've got it made
I'm not in love, no no, it's because

I like to see you
But then again
That doesn't mean you mean that much to me
So if I call you
Don't make a fuss
Don't tell your friends about the two of us
I'm not in love, no no, it's because

I keep your picture
Upon the wall
It hides a nasty stain that's lying there
So don't you ask me
To give it back
I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me
I'm not in love, no no, it's because

Ooh you'll wait a long time for me
Ooh you'll wait a long time
Ooh you'll wait a long time for me
Ooh you'll wait a long time

I'm not in love
So don't forget it
It's just a silly phase I'm going through
And just because I call you up
Don't get me wrong, don't think you've got it made

Sagopa Kajmer - 366.Gün https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUiNB0UFwJM

[Verse 1]
I'm an established machine, what if I make a mistake?
If I do not want to burn my circuits?
I have to stand up, what if I break down?
What if I'm the one that ruined a sack of figs?
Would you do the same mistake twice if you thought about it again? I do not think so!
I will never be blood again
It's hard not to find what I'm looking for
I do not get answers to questions I'm asking
The answer is,
My teeth are sharp but I do not bite
He said to me, "Get out!" they say, do not
I do not get chat or straight
I do not think I like the lot
I want where I want to be
As Superman, I fly to wherever I want

[Hook] (x2)
There is no other way to accept than to accept the abstinence (no, no, no, no)
Nor is it difficult to find what they're looking for (barely, barely)
It's hard to find what they're looking for (barely, barely)

[Verse 2]
On the 366th day, my face is still facing me
My dressing is changing when I see the back of the mantle when it is broken
Like Panda, my brother is running out of trust
As loneliness as the tree in the woods closely
Hey, do you want me to be the sun, the darkness that surrounds my surroundings?
If I can not see,
To me everything is so far away from me
I'm not sure what I want to know
As you know you will wear it many times
Despite denying denial, knowing that you know you will regret knowing why?
You have only one mind and you can not overcome it
Search and find can not be stored too long
What is that?
They can not surprise me too much if they know what to expect
Greyhounds stop running now

[Hook] (x2)
There is no other way to accept than to accept the abstinence (no, no, no, no)
Nor is it difficult to find what they're looking for (barely, barely)
It's hard to find what they're looking for (barely, barely)

Some lament the shortness of some AM-radio songs, from 50-plus years ago (!).

I just think they're "well-concentrated", those songs. Like Bacardi-151 Rum (a particular bottled liquor).

My 2-transistor pocket radio from Japan did a great job on this one, 'bout 1965, yes, it was, and after, blasting out of New York stations.

Case in point: this song, by The Yardbirds, ...from across the Pond from here.

Now, the lead guitarist was more of a "Blues"-man, he felt, than a would-be "Pop"-artist. So, he left the group after this hit HIT. The rest, to the present, is hit-story. His name?: why, one "Eric Clapton". Loss? Gain? Who will say. It was personal.

As usual, in a nicety for all -- which I began here years ago (and glad, I guess, that it's largely caught-on) -- I provide the text of lyrics below, for those who want to be sure of words here or there, and who might be subject otherwise to gratuitous "Mondegreens", wonderfully mis-heard and misapprehended lyrics. I don't mean to SPOIL it for you, though (so please ignore the text, at will). I respect personalized song-lyrics (e.g., "THERE'S a bathroom on the right"; or, " 'scuse me, while I kiss this guy". You get it, those of you who get it). ;)

Just a great rocking track. And early-on.

For Your Love

- The Yardbirds

For your love
For your love
I'd give you everything and more and that's for sure
(For your love)
I'd bring you diamond rings and things right to your door
(For your love)
To thrill you with delight,
I'd give you diamonds bright
Double takes I will excite,
Make you dream of me at night.
For your love
For your love
For your love
For your love,
For your love
I would give the stars above
For your love,
for your love
I would give you all I could
(For your love)
(For your love)
I'd give the moon if it were mine to give
(For your love)
I'd give the stars and the sun for I live
(For your love)
