Just saw a Phainopepla!, but first I heard it. The song caused me to swivel. Not a new bird in this valley, but one I haven't seen in a while. Long, tall, black-feathered, with an unkempt crest like my hair (which reflects a LOT more desert sun). What a song! Complex. Chirrup-y. Then a three-note repeated simple series: "Pret-ty please!" He flew away, like the fly-away feathers in his crest. The female is grey: didn't see her today!

Guo Gu,

You said it!

My hair has become bleached.

I tell people: "It's not my natural hair color!"

Ha; thanks for the fun. I like what you Humans call "play"!

It's just past Midnight where Guo Gu is, and I suspect he's for a while since been sawing wood (snoring).

I'm all for getting some rest, and living to play another day.

Of course, it's sunny in some parts. The Sun is always shining, it's just the Earth that turns, or the clouds that hide the Sun.

Right now, the shadow of the earth is drenching the desert with a cool dark, and I'm out to give a gander at Zubenelgenubi and Zubeneschamali, favorite brightest luminaries of Libra. Just to say their names is "play".

You can see these stars, too, Anirukta, as they're pretty much on the Ecliptic. And they are Alpha and Beta, so they are BRIGHT.

After that, some sleep; or, take another look "here", first.

Night-night!,

For how much more time? Is one supposed to go to bed?

Ok, I'll stay here..

Linda,

Yeah!, THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! ;-)

Fly me
to de
3-D Moon

(twelve guys have walked there; it would have been fourteen, if it hadn't have been for 13: Apollo 13, that is, which suffered an explosion on the outbound trip; almost lost them. No women have walked on the moon yet. Poor Alice Kramden, though: I dunno. I always feared for her safety; Ralph could be a hot-head, couldn't he)

We already live in space, though. And we have a good place, here. The best! We ought to care for it.

OK, I'll ask: I'm "Green", you see, and I ride a bicycle. Could I double my energy efficiency if I swap the bike for ...a UNICYCLE?

Still in play mode. Just nobody press "RECORD". ;-)

Anirukta,

I see. Guo Gu is on travel? But probably also (GMT - 4) hours right now in Ontario, same as in Florida?

Arizona Time is always (GMT - 7); never Daylight Saving or Summer Time used, as in Hawai'i (GMT - 10).

"Here" is a state of mind. You're free. Maybe go to Ontario, and shake Ven. Guo Gu's hand. You'll still be here! And you can send us a note to prove it.

Late here; I'm not making much sense. I'll crack it all up to "play". Whew. That's better.

Manana,

Time travel, maybe. Anyway, he said to stay here. So I do. Stay here.
