Challenge: Form a 26-word Sentence?

Challenge: Form a 26-word Sentence?

Postby desert_woodworker on Tue Sep 22, 2015 11:33 pm

Can you write here a 26-word meaningful sentence, or sentences (short paragraph?), using all the letters of the alphabet, in order, of this form?: the first letter of the first word is "a", the first letter of the second word is "b", etc., all the way to word 26, which will start with "z".

It's good if the sentence means something coherent, and does not seem too "contrived".

Fun, too, if you can make a sentence about a Buddhist topic, or about "Zen".

Hmm-m, note that the alphabet ends with "z".

best,

--Joe

Hello Joe,
All Buddhists can definitely experience fleeting glimpses helped in just knowing limited mentality, not on probing questions, resting safe throughout, undertaking voluminous work, x-ray your Zen.

The “X” is a bit of a stretch. Take it as “see through”.

James,

That's not quite a sentence! :heya:

ps "CMa" is astronomers' abbrev. of "Canis Major", The Big Dog, the constellation whose brightest luminary is Sirius, the Dog Star (Alpha CMa). There is also CMi, Canis Minor, The Little Dog, "who" is just one constellation East of CMa (its luminary is Alpha CMi, Procyon).

Hello James,
It’s indispensable when you have problems to solve!
But it’s very satisfying when you let it go, when its job is done.

All beings can develop enlightenment. Forget goals however. Instead, just kindle luminescent mind now. Ongoing practice: quiet resolve; sustained training; unwavering vigilance -- will 'xpedite your zen.

Ok, I cheated on "X." But come on, "X" is super-hard!

Bodhisattva!

A true teaching, and a sharing of Dharma. Thank you! :rbow:

(I know what you mean about the "x": I've made ditties where I tried to work-in "xylophonic", "xymurgy", and "xerify", but so far, so bad! :lool: Some of them might be good for a laugh, though! I may get up the nerve to post one).

Got another? :)

Joe,

Thank you. And thanks for posting this. I like word games. Maybe I can think of more. In the meantime, please gather up your courage and post one or two of yours!

A Buddhist Christian doesn't exhort from God heavenly increases. Justifiable karma "legally" makes necessary our Practice (quiet riots slow, to unnoticeable velocity). Welcome, Xavier, your Zen-dawn!
