Dark womb of Nothingness.

Today, these words, this house, these cats, I feel at home.
Ten years ago, that town, that girl, I felt at home
Twenty years ago, that house, those parents, I felt at home.
Before I was born, I was at home everywhere, for that house, I am.

Hope

I hope for a new way of seeing things, for
a way of holding them, of being more
unburdened by their weight, to hold them as
I do a cigarette - the grip one has.

The future fallen back into the past and the past insignificant,

I sit zazen.

Who will I be when I am dead, and no longer can?
If I were Buddha nature?

All substances are one... luminous.

Walking Meditation Downtown

The Pure Land in the noisy city
no need to seek quiet solitude

Face to face with Buddha
in clerks and passers-by

No obstruction anywhere
makes Bodhi obsolete

Trees, cars and people
in complete agreement
with the endless sky

I enjoy myself fully,
walking here and now
without a care in the world
"What is inherent in you is presently active and presently functioning, and need not be sought after, need not be put in order, need not be practiced or proven.
All that is required is to trust it once and for all."

Cut

Cut outs

of the full lines,
of naked models.

And his torment subsists, dreamily.

*

A white dancer
curves,
her head held as if tumbling backwards.

Set against blue,
like a dove twisted in the air.

*

Oceania's shapes
coalesce
freely, in the cooled thoughts of Matisse.

A field of not of pieces, but parts.

The harm of my death is a higher order metaphysical predicate

“And death where is it...
what death?”

What hell
is that white patch - transfigured eternal,
willed.

One's unconscious fantasy of power, Eros.
The promise I tried to keep but didn't
want to enough,

excused from horror at an instant end
as all creations

turn toward extinction.

Agape

How vain it is to have loved,
not to posess a person as if they were your own
body, or
in love for them to be part of yours,
but wanting
a sacrifice a bond of mutual concern,
which will only be frustrated. And so
likewise, sexual love itself,
being only a peculiar relation of having had
someone, is meaningless.
Neither unity can be established:
better to create a sense of the world
in terms of its resolution in death,
than what is soon to die.

The grass whispers with morning dew,
as I reflect on myself,
sat here
unobscured.

uh no no more

Past and future are cut off
A spark within the mudane,
the feeling of my body as it comports
around itself and the clutter in my room.
This LIFE, this long dynamism...
spend it afraid of solitude, and grieve for death;
be like clouds about to break
into
song. The morning dew lies heavy in wet air,
and the day stretches out, mine alone.
God is dead!

the vacant space where things appear
cannot know itself, cannot see itself
in this is its power, birthing things, and us
no border between it and all the rest
the counterpoise to all things, of equal weight
just changing the direction of one's looking changes every thing
constant returning, looking away from things gives them life
looking into things gives impetus to look away
nothing is really happening, no upward spiral dances
dynamics where nothing is at stake, yet real life depends on it alone
contradictions that don't annul each other, yet coexist
tension, with ease
danger, with redemption

From nothing all beings as beings come to be. (Heidegger)

WHEN YOU MEET A BUDDHA ON THE ROAD

(A poem I scribed few days ago during the first round of a poetry slam in our little city and then sacrificed before the second round. We might say, a birthday poem. Comments of any sort very welcome as it is still work in progress. Thanks!)

As the great Zen master said:
"When you meet a Buddha on the road
when you meet the Great Awakened One
kill the Buddha!

When you meet a Bodhisattva on the road
when you meet the Great Compassionate One
kill the Bodhisattva!

When you meet an Arahat on the road
when you meet the Great Sage
kill the Arahat!

And then feed their flesh to dogs!"

One might wonder why
the great Zen master
himself a great Buddhist sage
truly a Bodhisattva in flesh
tells us to kill the Buddha.
What does it really mean?

I think, it is all about ideas:
Once the idea of the divine appears
the idea of profane arises with it.
Once we construe the concept of good
many things seem evil.
Once we think something's special
ordinary things spring to life

In itself, nothing wrong about it
but it comes with a price.
For confusing paintings of sky
for real windows and doors
we splash against the walls of a maze.
And dreaming about the calm moon
like moths we burn in hot flames

Even the Buddhas and sages
are sometimes stuck like this

So, if you meet the Buddha on the road
kill the idea of the Great Awakening
abandon the idea of the Great Compassion
never mind the concept of sainthood, too
for true sages don't need prostrations
offerings and monuments we erect
only to please ourselves

What we all need is the same
good friends and some food or a beer

But what if you meet a dog on the road?

It's not really that much different
than meeting a great Bodhisattva.
Take him home, embrace him, feed him
lead him on a roam through sand and surf

Right there and right then Buddhas walking
greeting morning sunlight sifting though the clouds

Wakeful at sleepless nights.
No alibies.
Tryin'a find a way.
And who can say?

Reflection on the road.
Construction to be told.
Death to leave away.
And who can say nay [I challenge the gods]

Honor has gone before.
My lady at the door.
Searching for a way.
And then go play. [I was under torture and decended from the devas heaven to the inmates of hell in an instant for 3 years. Because I have Asperger.]

With the garden tools I gave today, planting a flower for yesterday, doing what she fuckings/really wants and who can say nay...
