The seller was all sold-out when I found this for sale online at US $16.99.

Probably just as well... . :tongueincheek:

.
No room (space) at your place to park the full-sized ones?

These 1/43-scale VW vans from California arrived at my place in the desert today. There's room for them.

I have a full-sized '73 Bus with the 1800 cc "flat-pack" (Porshe engine; dual-carbs. 195,000 miles on it; rebuilt engine, last time, from VW-Canada (with unleaded heads/valves, of course). Still get lots of peace-signs thrown by old-timers, here in this college-town. I think I won't give it up, the bus. Tho' it has no safety-equipment, but for shoulder and lap- seat-belts. Friends say "It's a death-trap, Jose! (Giuseppe)". They're right. And they ARE friends. Yet... . I can't give it up. I think of it as ...my Elephant. Who could give up an Elephant? It's that BIG. But, so... , but...

So, I mostly use the '02 hybrid. It's got air-conditioning! Fifty-two miles per gallon in-town. And forty-five on highway jaunts. But the V-dub is great "off-road" -- great ground-clearance, of course; a fine "field-vehicle", Botanist friends call it, for their "botanizing". And I say -- and demonstrate -- good for taking amateur telescopes out to the desert (dark... ), for viewing with friends and sangha.

p.s. "Don't drive like my brother"... . ;)
