I can't recall if this site was ever mentioned here, but it's a good resource and bears re-posting: the English language pages of the Joint Council for Rinzai and Obaku Zen website.

Some useful resources there. Glossary of Zen terminology with kanji, list of annual events, basic zazen instruction page, texts for chanting, even music.

Thanks! My favourite so far is: zuiyoku (隨意浴). An informal bath. :lol2:

Good site. Thanks.
My interest was especially captured by terms Haju and Hogyo.

I'm translating now to Russian a fresh Dharma talk "Strong determination" by Zharko Andrichevich, from Spring 2015 issue of Chan Magazine.
http://chancenter.org/cmc/publications/chan-magazines/

Meanwhile, in my own feelings, I explore the point that a practice should be rather letting me be natural - letting the heart rule - rather than putting on myself anything like artificial tension.

Sheng Yen Shifu also speaks about two approaches to Silent Illumination / Just Sitting: relaxed approach and tense approach. (E.g. see "Hoofprint of the Ox").

And, generally, it's interesting that two main Zen methods - huatou/wato and mozhao/shikantaza - might be actually combined into some method that includes benefits of both.

I realize it's off topic here. If there will be (or were already) discussions on such topics, please mention them for me.

Thank you for sharing this link. It's a great site - especially the sutra section!
